The Order of Chacha I
Every year, during the annual festival of the de Souza family, the Chacha awards a number of medals and decorations, including the Order of Chacha I and the Literary Award of Chacha IX.
The Order of Chacha I is given to any persons having distinguished themselves during the previous year through concrete action to combat modern slavery. It may also be awarded, during a person’s lifetime or posthumously, to recognize dedication to civic, political, social, or community action to combat modern forms of slavery or to assist its victims.
There are three ranks of the Order of Chacha I: Companion, Commander and Knight.
