He is a symbol of wisdom and continuity and, as such, is the guardian of moral authority. He takes part in the installment of the Chachas, assists them in carrying out their duties, and also presides over the Privy Council, advises the Chachas, drawing on his wisdom and experience, and fulfills the role of protector of the Afro-Brazilian tradition in Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, and Togo.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]
